1. About this policy

Northbridge Systems Pty Ltd ("Northbridge", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to our website at north-bridge.com.au and our dealings with prospective and current customers, partners and their representatives.

2. What we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, including when you:

  • submit a form on our website (such as your name, company, email address, phone number, and any information you include in your message)
  • become a Northbridge customer or partner, or are nominated as a contact for a customer or partner account
  • correspond with us by email or phone, or meet us at an event

We also collect limited information automatically when you use our website, including your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and how you interact with our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, the HubSpot tracking code and the LinkedIn Insight Tag described in section 5.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health or biometric information) through our website, and we ask that you do not submit it through our forms.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and arrange conversations you have requested
  • assess, establish and manage customer and partner relationships, including onboarding, scoping, quoting, service delivery and support
  • provide, administer and improve our services and website
  • send you information about Northbridge's services, events and resources where you would reasonably expect it or have opted in (you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us)
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

  • within the Northbridge team, so the right people can respond to you
  • with Fifteen (FifteenXV Pty Ltd), our related channel business, where relevant to a service, enquiry or partner relationship
  • with the technology vendors whose platforms underpin our managed services, where needed to provision, deliver or support a service you have engaged us for
  • with service providers who help us operate, including our customer relationship management and marketing platform (HubSpot), website hosting, and email services, each bound to handle information only for the purposes we engage them for
  • with Google, which provides the analytics that show us how the site is used and the reCAPTCHA service that protects our contact form from automated abuse, both described in section 5
  • with LinkedIn, which provides the advertising and analytics tag we use to measure our campaigns, as described in section 5
  • where required or authorised by law

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including the HubSpot tracking code, to operate the site, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use our pages, and connect your website activity with information you submit through our forms. This helps us respond to enquiries with useful context and improve the site.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality. For more about how HubSpot processes data, see HubSpot's privacy documentation at legal.hubspot.com.

We use Google Analytics on every page to understand how visitors find and use our website. It sets cookies and sends Google information about your visit, including your IP address, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and details about your browser and device. We use this in aggregate, to see which pages are useful and where people lose their way, not to identify you individually. You can opt out of Google Analytics across every site you visit using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and read more in Google's Privacy Policy.

We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag on every page. It sets cookies and sends LinkedIn information about your visit, including your IP address, the pages you view, and details about your browser and device. We use it to measure how our LinkedIn campaigns perform and to reach people who have already visited our site. Where you have a LinkedIn account, LinkedIn may match this activity to it. You can control or opt out of LinkedIn's advertising cookies in your LinkedIn account settings, and read more in LinkedIn's Privacy Policy.

Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell genuine enquiries apart from automated submissions. To do this it collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, including your IP address, and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, including HubSpot, Google and LinkedIn, store and process information on servers located outside Australia (including in the United States and the European Union). We also operate an office in Singapore, and the technology platforms underpinning our managed services may process information outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include access controls, encryption in transit, and the use of reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its last-updated date.
